This is one of the projects I wanted to do for university. Originally I was going to crop it so that you could only see the paining and not the model. However, I thought it looked better with him lying down, so I decided to use this photo (I took about 12 high resolution photos).

This was done with acrylic paints on my friend's back (John). It didn't actually take very long. Probably about an hour or less, but I painted what I had planned to paint.

This image is actually based on a poem by E.E. Cummings, which is this:

I've liked this poem since I read it this year in English 12, and decided I would paint this poem. Hence the title "loneliness" and the single leaf falling.

Anyway, here isthe original photo, so you can see how I edited it in photoshop. The original photo does not exactly do the painting justice anyway, plus the mood is too warm in the photo, and I wanted a more cold, depressed feeling. Hopefully the edited picture gives off that sort of vibe!
